Resources From Monthly Meetings
Here under each month you will find a synopsis of all the things we discussed during that month’s particular meeting and the resources I utilized during it as well.
Safe Restaurants in Cincinnati
Going out with food allergies is tough, especially when you don’t live in a huge city, as restaurants in smaller ones are usually not as apt to handle food allergies; as they don’t have the huge influx of people coming in & out with food allergies/dietary restrictions like the larger cities do. Luckily though, Cincinnati restaurant owners over the past couple of years have started taking initiatives to make their restaurants more food allergy-friendly and not only accommodative, but just as amazing for people with food allergies as those without. Down below you'll find a Google Doc, which I update regularly, with restaurants in the Greater Cincinnati area that I’ve eaten at that 1) I feel safe eating at and they’ve successfully accommodate my food allergies, 2) have a responsive, understanding, and educated staff when it comes to food allergies, and 3) have a great atmosphere and delicious tasting food.
Disclaimer: Keep in mind, it is always best to talk with the restaurant manager to see if they can handle your specific needs, and it’s always better to be safe than sorry, so if you are questioning it/not feeling 100% sure it’s safe, I would just choose not to eat there and just either 1) pick up food from another restaurant you know is safe and bring it there or 2) eat something just as delicious at home you know is safe.
